STOP PLAYING SMALL…IT’S NOT HELPING ANYONE!

I see it every day, and to tell you the truth, I am just as guilty. We see others in need and even though we can help and truly make a difference, we choose to ignore so as to not make any “waves”. Maybe we simply feel like it’s “none of our business” and they will figure it out on their own. When I am out and about town, let’s say at Target, for example. I see kids and adults that definitely need my help, but sometimes I choose to “let it go”. You see, we have been taught to be polite and not put our noses where they don’t belong. We’ve been socialized to look the other way and pretend that everything is just fine. Well, it is not all right, not in my world, not in my practice. There are so many people out there, friends, loved ones, family members, children that need our help right now. Actually, we may be their only hope. So, I challenge you to do the unheard of, and say something. What’s the worst that can happen? Someone you love will be angry with you…big deal. They may thank you later and say that you were the only brave soul that said something, and it has made all the difference, and for that they are grateful.
